So, armed with those words and a self-produced 10-song CD, The Key of V, she headed for warmer weather and
became lead singer/co-songwriter for a local L.A. band within weeks of her arrival.
Music Connection Magazine declared:

"Following V.?s lead, Monogroove (former band) comes out of the gates running and rarely lets up...this five piece blurs the lines between modern country, pop and rock, with the
emphasis on rock ...mixing its mojo with a little Southern and country flavor, they create hard-charging rock with truckloads of pop melody and vocal harmony..."

That first year in Los Angeles saw her place on Music Connection?s Top 100
Unsigned Artists list. Spurred on by the acclaim her original songs were receiving, she left the band and formed her own backup ensemble. This led to a Rock City News Best Female
Vocals nomination in 2004. So, armed with fresh songs, ideas, and inspiration, she headed back into the studio with producer Mike Harrison. The result was Black Halo- a collection of her most personal songs from swaggering rockers to introspective ballads, all with the
commonality of a flawed angel taking the narrative voice throughout.
Not one to rest on her laurels, she is currently hard at work on material for a follow-up effort.
