I HAVE NEVER HEARD THE ONE AND ONLY ALBUM, BUT AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH FIELDS OF GRACE ... HOW LONG WERE YOU GUYS IN THE STUDIO FOR EACH
ALBUM?
Jeremy Redmon: -For One and Only, Jeromy Diebler from FFH produced the album. We did all of the tracking in Nashville in about the equivalent of one month. However, Fields of Grace had a little different set of circumstances.Throughout the entire record process, Mike and I worked on it while we were on tour. This forced us to do a lot of tracking while on the road,in hotel rooms, conference centers, and anywhere else we could set up a mic and press record. Overall, it took us a couple of months.
I GAVE THE CD 85/100, IT SOUNDS REALLY WELL DONE, DID YOU WORK AS A PRODUCER ON OTHER ALBUMS?
Jeremy Redmon: -Thanks. This is the only label release that Ive produced. Ive worked on and produced a lot of independent bands and demos. Who knows, maybe this will spawn some more work in the future.
THE BAND REMINDS ME A BIT ON A MIXTURE OF CHRISTIAN RHYTHM HOUSE WITH THE SCOTTISH DEL AMITRI, AGREE?
Jeremy Redmon: -Hmm, I had to dig back a bit for that one. Im not entirely familiar with their stuff, but I can see some similarities. Thats definitely the first time weve ever had that comparison. Nice work!
I NOTICED YOU ARE JUST LIKE ME A BIG FAN OF JONATHA BROOKE, WHY IS HER WORK SO SPECIAL TO YOU ?
Jeremy Redmon: -I actually became a fan of her music around the "Ten Cent Wings" days, which only made me go out and try to find everything else shes ever recorded. I love the way she uses chord progressions and melodies that are usually pretty complex and unusual, but still manages to present
them in a way that the average listener can just sit back and enjoy.
ARE YOU GUYS ON THE ROAD WITH OTHER BANDS ? HOW ABOUT
EUROPE ?
Jeremy Redmon: -Right now, we are actually out on the road with FFH and Warren Barfield in the U.S. We havent gone to Europe as a band yet, I guess were just waiting on the invitation.
YOU ARE 23, I WONDER IF YOU HAVE ANY PRODUCER AND GUITAR
HEROES OF THE 80S ?
Jeremy Redmon: -Im actually 25 now. Yeah, one of my favorite bands of all time, like
for most people, is U2. Ill probably be a fan of "The Edge" until I die.
BACK TO THE BAND, FROM STARTERS DID YOU EASY GET AIRPLAY
IN THE ALABAMA AREA ?
Jeremy Redmon: -Yeah, as an independent band, there was a local Christian station in our hometown, in Mobile, that started playing our stuff early on.Theyve been great supporters ever since.
YOU GUYS RELEASED AN ALBUM MID 2002 AND ONE YEAR LATER THE FOLLOW UP,DOES THIS MEANS THAT B.D.W. ARE BLESSED WITH A LOT OF
INSPIRATION FOR NEW MATERIAL ?
Jeremy Redmon: -Im not sure that the abundance of new material was the reason for the
second release, but, Mike, our main songwriter, seems to be continually
blessed with great songs. There are a few songs on "Fields" that were from our independent album though, so that helped a little.
WHATS YOU FAVE BDW SONG AND WHY? ALSO WHATS YOUR FAVE RADIO SONG THESE DAYS?
Jeremy Redmon: -Im still a big fan of "Audience of One" from "One and Only". Wow, I
dont really have a favorite radio song. However, you could catch me just about any time flipping through stations jamming to anything thats on.
EVER BEEN IN COUNTRIES SUCH AS SWEDEN AND/OR BELGIUM?
IF NOT WHAT DO YOU THINK OR EXPECT OF IT?
Jeremy Redmon: - I havent made it to Sweden or Belgium yet. However, I have been to Europe several times and I am still overwhelmed with how incredible it
is. I cant wait to go back.
