A brand new AOR act have entered the scene. Well - the guys in the band have been on the aor scene for a long time, but we thought it was about time we should find out if the gold was solid enough to be called 24 K, so we sent our mainman Juha Harjula to find out... |

80s Metalbands such as Vixen, Aloha, Hawaii, Sharx and musicians like Michael Furlong (Tom Petty clone thesedays), Michael Ruff and Allan Thomas are the only names that pop into my mind when you ask me the question if i knew any acts from the sunny Hawaii island. Furthermore i have to honestly confess i know little or nothing when it comes down to sum up more who hail from this surfers paradise. These days im a little older and so much wiser, so i kinda forgot those 80s hairmetalbands but still prefer (as so many of you) classic west coast acts like Nielsen/Pearson, Player, Sneaker, Eagles and/or the Keane bros.Well in case you (just like me) still rate those high in your list, make sure to not overlook the recent Allan Thomas release "Making Up For Lost Time", only his third solo release throughout the years but very high class well made. It sounds a bit like the solowork of Donald Fagen meets Nielsen/Pearson with the voice of a Randall Bramblett, in fact lets put it this way ..... how much more west coast can you sound if you operate from Hawaii ?Any questions about this guy ? With the following interview i did he revealed a lot about his past, present and future ..... |

I never forget the day when I heard this gorgeous album from a new face in
music, well the name was familiar because his dad is Randy Bachman
from the legandary group B.T.O but except that nothing could be
compared to his fathers band.
From Vancouver, this Canadian son Tal Bachman opened the door and
let the sunshine in to lighten up the darkened 90?s from which we
haven?t seen or heard anything new and sparkling on the popfront
since E.L.O?s days through the 70?s and 80?s but with the hit ?She?s
So high? and many more mindblowing classics,Tal had the key to
that door where have been in the swamp of the grungeneers.
What Tal Bachman means to music is what Gandalf means in the
Lords of the ring??a bringer of hope!

Tenth Planet has been having one hell of a year thanks to the success of their first full length album “Everything Is Never Over”. It has already been named the Album of The Year in Holland and is quickly gaining them notoriety in North America (Not bad for some guys from Ontario). Thankfully we got the chance to sit down with guitarist Brian Paul and discuss the album and their plans for the rest of the year. |

Honestly is a very important thing in life and when it comes to true musical honestly The Buzzhorn is the right band to watch out for. They released August 6th their major debut album on Atlantic records which one of the best modern rock albums this year and has a clear message. Pure rock with and true attitude. I got in contact with the bassist Todd Joseph down the page you can read his cool and very honest answers. The Buzzhorn is: Ryan Mueller (Vocals) Bert Zweber (Guitar) Todd Joseph (Bass) Rob Bueno (Drums) |

Sleek, sexy, thoroughly unique, and undeniably rock, N.E. Pennsylvania based rock sextet The Drama Club has been creating a spectacle that is nothing short of drama! The Drama Club`s lead singer and primary composer Nick Coyle is widely acknowledged as one gifted "angelic" vocalist and has inspired many songwriters. The Drama Club is no stranger to the challenges and triumphs of building a musical career, various members have been involved with successful label/touring projects. In 2005, Coyle teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Nate Bevan (formerly of hardcore band Stalemate), but just recently finalized the line-up after going through various member commotions. The band finalized members after picking key players out of the regions best bands to form this "super group". |

I must confess that I didn’t know of "The Last Goodnight" till our editor Pär introduced them and I have to say it´s been like love at first sight. Since the first chords I listened from these guys I got a special chemistry in their songs.. infectious melodies, heartfelt lyrics, addictive hooks in a perfect modern rock package. Kurtis John’s soulful/sensual voice adds that extra star which will take “Poison Kiss” to the top of the “Best albums list at melodic.net” when we sum up the year! |

2009 can very well be the year of The Last Vegas, their cock rock attitude will take them far and this kind of rocknroll doesn´t just belong to Buckcherry, Guns N Roses and Motley Crue. With their Eleven Seven debut coming up this spring and a production signed Nikki Sixx, this band is ready to take on the world!Melodic.net had a chat with their guitarist Adam Arling. |

The Rescues are so much more than they appear on the surface. They appear to be a group of four widely acclaimed, independently successful singer-songwriters singing songs together in a group. That's before you give their music a listen. Then you begin to understand. The Rescues is a group of four people who just happen to have gobs of musical talent, getting behind the same idea and same purpose. They are perfectly unique, individually. Together as a group together, it's as if they share the same soul. The beautiful connection of their music with its listener is something that is rare in the world of commercial mass-produced, heavily-marketed music. This is something you don't hear everyday. The Rescues are a band with a heartbeat. |

The Stereo is a band that combines piano based pop with more guitardriven modern rock and the singer/songwriter Jamie Woolford is a great lyricist that loves to bring in humour in his songs,a missing concept in many lyrics today. With last year?s solid piece of work ?Rewind and record? being made, the band has a great repertoaire to choose from playing live! And you know me???I just had to get in touch with the man behind this charming band.

Christian Melodic Rock music sure found its new refreshing stream with hopefull acts such as The Turning and The Swift on the Rocketown label. The recent releases by both bands are very well produced, great musicanship, fantastic vocals combined with pretty good songs which are meant to be manufactured to the high expectation taste of our Pop/Rock readers. If youre into Leeland or Keane youll be hooked on by the first notes of both The Turning and The Swift. We thought it would be interesting what The Swifts Britt Edwards (Songwriter/singer/pianist) had to explain ..... |

Canadian band The Veer Union has made one of 2009’s most impressive modern rock album in “Against The Grain”. With great melodies built up by heavy guitars and melodic choruses they have showed once again that Canada is the country when it comes to quality rock. We had the chance to ask them some questions, enjoy! |
