I am now based out of Utah. I do travel around as a gypsy a lot. I love touring -- as a matter of fact, in 2006, after getting clean, I started touring again. The first tour I did was solo. Then I formed a trio act, and then I took the step to form the full project, Tree Colors, which are now Days of theNew Presents Tree Colors. Days of the New is a production company that, to me, represents TreeColors - the truth, and what kept the art of Days of the New alive - the Tree and the Colors. Thename does not change, it only gets longer: Days of the New presents Tree Colors. It’s not TreeColors and it’s not Days of the New, it’s Days of the New presents Tree Colors; a continuum ofcolor, and the symbolism of the tree. I can still be marketed as Days of the New, but be sure youwill be hearing about the Tree and Colors.
As time goes on, I hope people grasp my vision too, as Irelease this project and reveal these colors of art and music.Currently, I am working on a record I plan to release in late fall. That record will be a silent title,by color (Purple). I am re-announcing myself, not only as Travis Meeks, but as Maestro Meeks, so you can call me Travis Meeks, Travis Maestro Meeks, or Maestro. I am a folk world classicalcomposer, who uses the acoustic guitar as a focus and medium for my work; much likecomposers who write and compose on a piano. I call myself a Maestro; a Maestro meaning “master of what I do,” a master of my craft. I have come to terms with that persona and I havebecome one with my craft, meaning I master my craft.

Release the damn album! It been 11 years since Days Of The New III.
It is 2012! Where is this Album?
I drove two hours to see Days of the New last night only to find a note at the door saying that the bar was unable to contact Meeks and that the show is canceled. I was also told that Meeks is NOT sober and still a damn mess who frequently cancels shows. On top of this, he's asking fans to donate to help fund an album that's not even completed and has no label (see his website). If Meeks is looking to ruin his reputation fast, he's doing a great job.
Is there any particular reason why I should give a crap about what this guy calls himself? Master Folk World Classical Composer Circus Ringleader Maestro Meeks hasn't released an album in a decade. Yes, a great big decade of saying that it was just around the corner, that you were spending time in the studio, blah blah. And now you want your abused and neglected listeners to front you the cash so...what, you can put that much needed theremin track in?
Hey, Maestro? Got a guitar? Good. A bass? A drum set? Awesome. How about a four-track tape recorder? Super cool.
Now how about you go make a goddamned record?
I'll tell you who's a worthless stain on the finely pressed suit that Travis is: It's that logan fascist right below me. I bet his mom dreads not having that abortion. Everyone has tough times you ass hole, but the direction and level of where we take the end result of those hard times is what separates us from any person we may be standing next to. Travis had some hard times, and now he's back, and back in a brilliantly diverse way. I'm sorry you haven't allowed yourself the opportunity to be able to grow past whatever you have against him. He's too much for you and your narrow minded brain.
Travis - Love your music but this new "Maestro" crap is just that, crap. No need to go boosting your ego. yeah, your music is great, yeah you had some hard times, suck it up, drive on and best wishes but how about leaving the ego behind you - I think your going to lose some true fans with that one. Part of your attraction was your humility - now you just threw that away with this call me "Maestro" stuff.
Huge fan, guy u rock. at times i cant take out the green album. what up with the the untitled track. i think of blair witch when i here that. Creepy-ass-witch-rock. dont leave us hanging mang! we all need more colors from ya
dude you fuckin rock!!! saw you last febuary and missed most of the show cause i got busted for smoking some off the devil's spinage in the bar. what a buzz kill that was but you have to come back to ohio. lots of fans here. keep rockin!!!
Well, Maestro, I am just scratching the surface of my maestroism of the guitar, bass, singing. I have been a fan of your music since te beginning. I have always thought your music was underestimated, and that you have had a lot of hard luck. At any rate, when is the new album due out?
Travis your music has always spoken to me and has helped me through many a hard time. Can't wait for the new album!
I've been a fan of yours since the first album and I was lucky enough to see you perform live, opening for Metallica. It was a performance that I've never forgotten. Your music has stuck with me through the years and I can't wait to hear Purple.
I wish you the absolute best in all you do. Your spirit is strong, Maestro.
This is probably the best that I have heard from you-which, in my book is a noteable accomplishment. So much feeling and soul in this music..I can't wait to hear the entire thing rather than just songs on my space. Getting clean really opens up your being to so many other realms. Stay Strong!

I like the sound/color of this new direction. Been listening to your music since album number one. It's fantastic in my book. Keep it up Travis, looking forward to the new album.
