Ryko's Stimulus Package Tour With Gliss + The Takeover Uk

GLISS are based out of Los Angeles and their sophomore release, Devotion Implosion has been compared to The Jesus and Mary Chain, and The Raveonettes. The trio has an illustrious touring history, having shared the stage with The Smashing Pumpkins, Editors, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Raveonettes, and We Are Scientists. THE TAKEOVER UK are actually from Pittsburgh and are a 4 piece blend of garage, pop and punk a la bands like The Strokes and All American Rejects. Their debut full length, Running with the Wasters, comes out on March 24th and they've already grabbed the attention of Alternative Press, Spin, and Teen Vogue in addition to landing synchs in the shows The Hills and Castle.



Gliss and The Takeover UK are joining forces to commiserate over the recession with a tour, dubbed The Stimulus Package Tour. The bands will keep the ticket prices low (an average of $5) with discounted merch as they make their way east from the west coast. The dates are below, with more coming soon!

Fightstar formed in late 2003 after Alex Westaway and Charlie Simpson, former Busted frontman, met at a party in Simpson“s London home. Following an impromptu jam session, Westaway and Simpson decided to form a band. After a few songs had been written, the band recruited bassist Dan Haigh, a school friend of guitarist Alex Westaway and drummer Omar Abidi.
