Introducing The Modern Pop Of Surprises (ex-Sullivan)
If you own an ipod you probably own a little piece of Brooks Daniel Paschal. Having written and produced countless albums he took over the legendary Fort Studio in his 20's. An astounding accomplishment for his age. From Disney stars to some of the most infamous artists of our time, Brooks somehow has had his hand in it all. Hes been featured in Spin, American Songwriter, alternative press, Blender and countless others.
Last year after becoming one of purevolume's Top 21 Unsigned of 2008, Surprises took a little bit of a break. "I was getting a little overwhelmed, Surprises was for me and the people that supported me over the years, not record labels, but before i knew it they were everywhere and truthfully i got a little scared" says Paschal. But, hes back. "All Dressed Up and No Where To Die" is the end all be all of Brooks' writing prowess. Lyrically sinister, but musically so lush you may wonder where it all comes from, regardless, its beautiful ~MTS
