Review

There was a band called Happyendings from USA that was signed to J Records but their album never came out, this is not the same Happyendings I´m doing a review of. "Greatest view from Alcatraz" is the new album from Melbourne based The Happy Endings, rocknroll from down under that will appeal to fans of Buckcherry, Candlebox and Todd Kerns. The song "Control" is a bit different though that can be described as The Clash meeting Led Zeppelin, the rocking single "Rehab" is one of the highlights along with the melodic "Candy cane". It´s a solid album but I think 14 tracks could´ve been reduced to at least 12. The last 2-3 songs feels like fillers.

Tracklisting 1. Dissident
2. Rehab
3. Catorina
4. Rocketship
5. Candy Cane
6. Horizons
7. Pull the Trigger
8. Control
9. Backdown
10. 6 / 8
11. Wrecking Ball
12. Serenading Song
13. Building Is Burning
14. Homewrecker Man

Did you know that?

Most of the sounds on Prince´s "Sign O´ The Times" single came from the stock library that came w/ the ´80s sampler, the Fairlight CMI.
