I just don’t see the meaning with releasing a soundtrack album with music inspired by the Batman Arkham City videogame. It´s cool for the fans to get new songs from their favourite artists but the collection of new songs on this soundtrack doesn’t heat up the temperature around in my house, that´s for sure. The only songs that move me are Daughtry´s “Drown in you”, Blaqk Audio´s “Afterdark” (by the way, isn´t it time to release a new album guys?) and Coheed and Cambria´s “Deranged”. There are a few decent songs as well like Panic at the disco´s “Mercenary”, The Damned Things “Trophy widow”, The Duke Spirit´s “Creature”, The Raveonettes “Oh stranger” and Crosses “The years”. But what about the crappy stuff then? The Boxer Rebellion´s “Losing you”, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club´s “Shadow on the run” and Serj Tankian´s “Total paranoia” is nothing but a waste of time here. Spend your money on something else.

Did you know that?

The southern rock band Lynryd Skynyrd took their name from their high-school gym teacher – Leonard Skinner.
