Review

Austin Tofte is Swimming With Dolphins, an upbeat synthpop affair that goes hand in hand with Owl City soundwise. So is there room for another Owl City? Sure there is, but in that case, Tofte needs better songs because only a few lift up his debut album "Water Colours". The evil tongues might say, SWD is pretty much a carbon copy but then again, there aren´t that many bands around that sounds like this at the moment. I like the fluffy electronic sound of this album and songs like "Diplomat" and "Sleep to dream" are really nice. Other songs like "Happiness" and "Good times" are quite boring I´m afraid, the first one sounds like Sade´ and the other is a mediocre hip hop influenced dance pop song. A decent album anyhow.
