I love to discover old albums that really sounds good like in the case with Dallas based Bless The Broken and their only release, "Make me the martyr" from 2006. They are influenced by The Used and My Chemical Romance but sounds more like Stabbing Westward and Carfax Abbey, sure there are some screamo on the album but not much. This 15 track album is more of a gothic emo rock album, perfect for 80´s vampire movies like Lost Boys and Fright Night. And 15 tracks doesn´t feel a lot at all since the running time is only 50 minutes, so we get a bunch of 3 minute songs where only a couple feels like fillers at the end of the album. But hey, let´s focus on the great songs instead like "Beloved", "Feel this way", "Afterlife" and "Hollywood" to mention a few. There´s more of this quality but these four stand in their own league. Too bad the band aint around anylonger.
