Review

If you´re into roots rock or Americana, you better check out John Mark McMillan´s latest album "Economy" if you haven´t already done it yet. This is quality stuff, John Mark is such a great singer and his music leans towards Bruce Springsteen, Tom Kimmel and even Third Day. John Mark´s debut "Hope anthology Vol.1" came out in 2002 and he has been covered by artists like David Crowder Band, Flylead and Hillsong United. His 5th album "Economy" is a joy for the ears with soulful and passionate vocals, strong melodies and a big production. Highlights are "Seen a darkness" and "Economy", I can listen to this over and over again.

Did you know that?

The name City and Colour comes from his own name: The city Dallas and The Color Green. His reasoning for the name was that he felt uneasy "putting the album out under the name Dallas Green."
