Review

Crowfield is a band that has fallen a bit under the radar unfortunately. This is a very talented band that plays folk inspired rock, but in a new and modern way. They released in 2010 the album "Goodbye, Goodnight, So Long Midwestern"produced by Rick Beato, which impressed me, and apparently Universal since they got a major deal. Unfortunately, they stayed there just a short time and with no release, which is very surprised because what they deliver here.

This album is once again produced by Rick is even better and is a fantastic record to be honest. Loves the way the band have taken their sound to a new level with very beautiful arrangements and a bigger production. Cannotsay I heard any band in the genre with this kind of production and sound that can be described as Mumford & Sons on their way to U2.

Somefans of folk rock might probably think it sounds too produced and none organic. But I think the opposite and think the guys have taken the genre to a new level and that it feels unique in many ways. Just listen to the up-tempo tracks "Midwestern", "Somehow, some way" and the very beautiful "Inside Voices" and you will understand what I mean. A must have if you ask me!

Did you know that?

+44 pronounced "plus forty four," a reference to the international dialing code of the United Kingdom, where band members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker first discussed the project.
