Review

Barn Door and Concrete Floors is the second studio album from son of Baptist minister Israel Nash Gripka. And what an album this is!

From the start to the end this is a brilliant album. The album opens strong with "Fool's Gold", which is a Americana smelling rocker with a great chorus, For me the highlight of the album is the third track, "Sunset, Regret". A slow country ballad with lots of emotion and great lyrics. There are however so many great songs here.

Songs like "Drown", "Goodbye Ghost", "Red Dress", "Baltimore" and the previous mentioned songs all contribute to an album so filled with quality it easily qualifies on my top list over best albums of 2011. Both slower songs and more up-tempo ones maintain a very high quality and that leads to an album that never gets boring.

Give Israel Nash Gripka a chance, he might blow your mind! Fantastic album!
