Grammy Award-winner Rodney Crowell and New York Times Best Selling author Mary Karr teamed up together to write song which became"KIN, SONGS BY MARY KARR AND RODNEY CROWELL". An album produced by Joe Henry and "Kin" marks the first collaboration between the two writers and is Karr’s entry into the world of music. The album features a whole lot of nice artists. Norah Jones, Vince Gill, Lucinda Williams, Lee Ann Womack, Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristoferson, Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell himself. It's a nice album with some real diamonds... Lucinda Williams is just lovely in "God I'm Missing You", Emmylou Harris and a guitar is just wonderful in "Long Time Girl Gone By" and "I'm A Mess" with Rodney himself is pure heaven in the americana-heartland-school of music. Overall a nice album and is absolutely worth checking out.
According to member Jared Leto, the name Thirty Seconds To Mars is a rough translation of a phrase from the manuscript Argus Apacase and was chosen by the band for being "imaginative and really represent[ing] the sound of our music in as unique a way as possible.
