Review

Is a little surprised that Spill Canvas has not become larger than they are. With their emotional pop / rock, they're in the same class as Jimmy Eat World and should have breaked with the Sire debut "No Really, I'm Fine" they. Unfortunately, so was the sequel "Formalities" not of the same class and was to m me a major disappointment with uninteresting songs.
This new album "Gestalt" is a clear shake-up and shows once again that the band is among the best in this genre. The record is s little calmer is compared to the previous efforts, but it feels really thoughtfully and is a great addition to "No Really, I'm Fine".
Tracks like "Whiskey Dream Kathleen", "Parallels and Money" and "Off a Cliff" is among the best the band have written and can not say anything else that this album is a safe purchase if you like bands like Circa Survive, Paper Route and Jimmy Eat World.

Did you know that?

Keith Moon passed out on a The Who show in the early 70´s but the band asked if there was anyone in the audience who could play drums. A fan came up on stage to replace Moon and the band could finish the setlist for the night.
