Scouting For Girls last album "Everybody Wants to Be on TV" was really a pleasant surprise with its charming piano-pop. It was elegant and hearty, but above all, we got an album that was filled with good pop songs from start to finish. So must say that I really looked forward to this third album from the band that could have been the bands big break.
But unfortunately it’s not really as good as the debut even though it is a well-made album. It's clearly more uneven where songs like "Rain In LA" and "Rocky Balboa" feels way to simple and commercial for my taste. But there are a bunch of smart pop like "Without You" and "Snaked And Ladders" which both have the chance to give the band some radio time the coming year.
But overall, it is no album that will take the band to new heights and the band has to wait for the big break until next album!
