Review

I just reviewed Michael McDonald for you (yes I know
we have a wide musical taste here at your fave page)
and I complained over the lack of production and good
arrangements. That album had great classic tracks but
suffered in the production of them. Here is quite the
vice versa? Or I?m unfair to Marilyn if I said all the
tracks are bad? They aren?t in a long way. But the
best thing with this album is the production and the
great arrangements. Damn cool! What a helluva sound!
The Swedish guy Tim Skold (ex Shotgun Messiah,
Kingpin) has done a tremendous job with it. It?s then
a pity when the song material doesn?t come up in the
same calibre called world class. There are sure some
great modern metal tracks on here, but there are also
few too many quite unnecessary nonsense tracks as
well. And Marilyns androgyny voice is a bit to much,
with quite a weak range. A pity. Still, I must suggest
all you lovers of the industrial modern rock to take a
close listen. On the good songs, these guys eat a lot
of the other contenders for breakfast. And I?m sure we
have seen the beginning of a brilliant producer career
for Tim Skold. He will probably produce bands like
Korn, Saliva, Adema and such in a near future and add
tons of cool licks and vibes to these bands.
