Born the same year as Journey?s classic album "Frontiers" hit the stores in 1983,Nashville based singer/songwriter Landon Pigg has gathered some of the hottest producers around for his debut album. Landon has a varied source of influences all from Ray Stevens to The Beatles and David Mead to Led Zeppelin - we find LP?s music somewhere between Butch Walker?s "Letters",Matt Nathanson and Gavin DeGraw. He has written all the songs himself except for "Perfectionist" that was co-written by Clif Magness, the 70?s pop pearl of "Keep looking up" reminds a bit of Howie Day while my fave "Eggshells" goes in the modern rock/pop lane. LP is a beautiful but harmless pop album, you can?t blame him for being original and the housewives will probably love this while the wild youth can use this cd as a frisbee. Landon belongs to the new generation of singer/songwriters where we find Ryan Cabrera and Teddy Geiger.
