Review

The American rock band Blind Melon existed between 91-95 and split up after their lead singer Shannon Hoon´s death, the band reformed in 2006 with new frontman Travis Warren and releases the comeback album "For my friends" via Adrenaline records on April 22.
Bassist Brad Smith and Guitarist Christopher Thorn has produced albums with American Minor, Under The Influence of Giants and Anna Nalick during the hiatus.
The new album has elements of psychedelic rock, grunge and classic rock like a mix between Lenny Kravitz, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Free and Pearl Jam.
The single "Wishing well" is pure earcandy for the rootsy rock lover, this is a solid album that will please old fans as well as recruit new ones.
I get the feeling we can call them a cult band.

Did you know that?

Ill Nino frontman Christian Muchado was originally a roadie for Soulfly before forming Ill Nino.
