Must say that I wasn’t a bigfan of Red Hot Chilippers in the beginning of their career. But as the band has gone to a more commercial sound I have really learned to appreciate them more with "Californication" as a favorite. So was very curious to know where the band was aftera five years of absence and whether they would be able to follow up the previous successful albums. And after listening to "I'm With You" a lot of times now I can only conclude that the band truly deserves their place in rock heaven. Ok, this is not the band's best album and it will not reach the same heights as their peak in the early 2000's. But this is a very competent album where the disco flirting "Monarchy of Roses", "Factory of Faith" and "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie"alreadyfeels like modern classics from the band. Perhaps the band should have tried this type of glittering style through the entire album since it really fresh and interesting. Perhaps they didn’t dare, or perhaps they simply picked the best songs they had, but it would have been awesome with little more adventurous album to be honest.
Still a good album that will please any fan of their new and more commercial albums!
