URBAN DUX was born in the beginning of the century, formed by the ashes of other well known Spanish independent bands where the most capable members decided to make a more ambitious and international project. Thanks to their experimented careers and the soul between the musicians in less than a year got a handful of incredible songs that made earthquakes in their concerts, which have always been the strongest part of the band, where their music make the real sense, a punch of pure energy. Their sound is defined as a mixture between the most rabid rock, poisoned in metal, and the beauty of jazz and pop. They feel passion for all these movements as well, without any prejudice, always looking for a feeling to transmit and taking care of the songs. After touring for several months across the country, they get into the studio to make form their first album. ?Songs from the flesh? (Geisha Records/Avispa) is edited in 2004, and get the heat from the audience and critics since the first moment, both treating it as one of the best Spanish metal albums of the year, appearing in most of national magazines as one of the brand new surprises of the moment. Their first single ?Release me Prozak? is one of the favourite videos of MTV Spain, Sol Musical and 40TV, three of the most important music channels in the spanish digital TV, voted by the audience as one of the Top10 best metal videos of the year. But the band ?s still hungry and don?t want to stop here, after a successful tour, crossing the country, playing at the most important summer festivals (Festimad?04 etc) and the Canarian Islands as well, making in Las Palmas a final gig tour, where they ?re a really important band, put their eyes on the most important reason once unit them: Move to Sweden and try to built up there. This country always has been the Mecca for them, most of the band?s influences come from there and they feel ready to do it. The hour has come. They?re moving to live to Gothenburg(sweden) in spring 2005 and going to start the recordings for their 2nd album, looking for a distro of the first one, and beginning their Swedish tour.
