Burning Codes music concerns our own unique messages, the codes which are truly ours, uniquely understood and owned by each of us, uniquely. The music is birthed from our moments and what we do with these moments, how we see, feel, react, encode and decipher the inner messages and the outer manifestations of what we feel, think and do.
Burning Codes 2 was conceived and recorded around the core thinking that, often our society doesnt really address the issue/s of our innate uniqueness and at the same time our connectivity, communality. Nor does it seem comfortable or happy to address how our personal knowledge of these deep core inner issues, feelings, ethics, personal codes inform our own decision making, perception and understanding, an understanding which which often begins at home, not with the collective or familiar or peer home but deep inside each of us, in the deep well of who and what makes us who we are?
These ideas of our deepest, individual, unique, inner ethics, feelings thoughts, perceptions, concepts, codes of life, conduct, creativity and being are not often talked about yet they are a very significant part of what really makes us a unique individual whilst we may also be part of a larger society, race, creed, culture, group, club. This new album is as much about affirming and accepting our uniqeness as our abundant diversity
Wouldnt it be wonderful if this deeper unique nature was normalised in our thinking in our society, talked about openly not just in specialist books or documentaries but the word on the street, the lyrics in the song, the flow in the rap, the words which affirm our unique and deepest core nature.
Burning Codes has received Radio One airplay via Zane Lowes Evening session, BBC 6 Music and BBC NIs Across The Line plus various local stations nationally as well as independent radio stations in the U.S.
