Hailed as one of North America’s greatest independent bands, the Boston based rock trio’s fifth full-length, Circles Around The Sun, is out August 21, 2012 on Dine Alone Records.
After forming in New England in 1996 and through intense word of mouth and fan loyalty, Dispatch went on to become one of the biggest draws on the North American live music scene.
Though Dispatch had not released an album since 2000, and called it quits in 2004, their music continued to capture new generations through pure word-of-mouth. A 2004 farewell show in Boston unexpectedly drew 110,000 people (as documented in
The Last Dispatch). Not one, but three 2007 shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden sold out immediately.
Produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, Jonsi, The National), Circles Around The Sun is the kind of all-American rock and roll statement of intent that Dispatch are famed for. The band's first single, "Not Messin'," is available for free download
