Drowning Pool is a four-piece Hard Rock band from Dallas, Texas, United States. They formed in 1996 and are still active. They are signed to Eleven Seven Music and have released three albums, their most recent being Full Circle which was released in August 7, 2007.
After the September 11th attacks "Bodies" was infrequently heard on many radio stations. On August 14, 2002 the lead singer, Dave Williams, was found dead inside his tour bus. Toxicology reports after his death indicated that he suffered from a form of heart disease. After Williams´ death, the band decided to carry on and began searching for a new singer. In 2003, the band found Williams´ replacement in Jason ´Gong´ Jones, and released the album Desensitized in 2004. Drowning Pool announced that the new singer would be McCombs.
