Los Angeles-based rock band Beware of Darkness made their network television debut last night on Conan. The three-piece tore through their loud, blues-rock stomper "Howl," a song that has cracked the Top 15 at Active Rock and is the lead single off their long awaited debut album titled Orthodox that was released last week via Bright Antenna Records. Orthodox follows the band's well-received Howl EP and is a potent and precise body of work heavily clouded with imagery and inspiration drawn from literary figures such as Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, and David Foster Wallace. Check out Beware of Darkness' performance of "Howl" on Conan HERE. Recorded at the Sound Factory and Valley Recorder in Hollywood, CA, executive produced and mixed by Dave Sardy (Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, Nine Inch Nails), and produced by Greg Gordon and frontman Kyle Nicolaides, Orthodox proves itself to be a sensuous experience - aimed somewhere between the gut and dirty dive bar - but death, and its implications for the living, is wrestled with on nearly each of the album's twelve blistering tracks. Anticipation for the album has been building since the band released their beloved Howl EP last year that earned instant acclaim and launched the single "Howl," a song that has already hit Top 40 Rock Radio with over 26 stations playing it in regular rotation and whose video premiered on FUSE. 2013 is continuing to be a busy year for the members of Beware of Darkness - Kyle Nicolaides (vocals, guitar), Daniel Curcio (bass) and Tony Cupito (drums) - with "Howl" continuing to climb the alternative radio charts as well as forthcoming appearances on the Vans Warped Tour in the U.S. and dates in the UK and Europe. Having already shared the stage with the likes of Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Social Distortion, Deftones, Silversun Pickups, Tegan and Sara, Metric, AWOLNATION, Hollywood Undead, The Wombats, Middle Class Rut and others, the band will add more names to the list with performances on Warped, a string of radio festivals, and an upcoming tour through Europe with Smashing Pumpkins. Beware of Darkness will be making the following U.S. appearances throughout May and June. Tour dates below. MAY 19 - Columbus, OH - Rock On The Range Festival 20 - Baltimore, MD - Baltimore Soundstage 21 - Hartford, CT - The Webster Underground 23 - New York, NY - The Studio at Webster Hall 24 - Rochester, NY - Main Street Armory 26 - Machesney Park, IL - Rockford Speedway 28 - Omaha, NE - Sokol Auditorium 30 - Colorado Springs, CO - Black Sheep JUNE 15-29 - 2013 Vans Warped Tour JULY 01-31 - supporting Smashing Pumpkins in Europe

Los Angeles-based indie rock trio Beware of Darkness are pleased to announce the release of their debut album titled Orthodox. Released this week (Tuesday, May 7th) through Bright Antenna Records, the long-awaited album follows the band's well-received Howl EP and is a body of work heavily clouded with imagery and inspiration drawn from literary figures such as Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, and David Foster Wallace. Throughout Orthodox, chief songwriter and front man Kyle Nicolaides delivers scathing lyrical content in a snarling howl. Powered by the album's lead single, "Howl," a song that has cracked the Top 20 at Modern Rock Radio and will be performed live on Conan on Wednesday, May 15, Orthodox is incredibly potent and precise, a collection of songs whose lyrics are meant to evoke reactions.
Check out some behind-the-scenes footage from the band's very first trip to the UK that recently premiered on Purevolume.com.

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce Whitesnake's explosive new double live album “Made In Britain”/ “The World Record” – officially released in the UK on Monday 8th July. The 2-disc live set coincides with the news of Whitesnake's UK Arena Tour with Journey and Thunder which kicks off at Glasgow SECC on Saturday 18th May. During 2011 the mighty Whitesnake embarked on one of their most successful world tours in recent times, performing 96 shows in over 35 countries, starting in North America in May right the way through until the 2nd UK run in December. The request for another live album came from Whitesnake’s loyal fans - never ones for being notoriously shy about insisting what they want from their favourite musical reptiles. Before heading out on the Forevermore World Tour 2011, the decision was made to record every performance on the tour. After spending the early part of 2012 feverishly editing and mixing the Whitesnake: Made In Japan live DVD, the production team had the task of listening back to over 90 shows and 130 hours of 100% raw, muscular Whitesnake performances. “Made In Britain” and “The World Record” were inspired by the performances from 9 sold out UK concerts and 87 performances from around the world. CD 1 – “MADE IN BRITAIN” 1. Best Years 2. Give Me All Your Love Tonight 3. Love Ain’t No Stranger 4. Is This Love 5. Steal Your Heart Away 6. Forevermore 7. Love Will Set You Free 8. My Evil Ways 9.
