Blaqk Audio
Blaqk Audio Premieres Behind-The-scenes Foota....
Electronic duo BLAQK AUDIO recently released their sophomore album BRIGHT BLACK HEAVEN, where it debuted at #1 on the Billboard Electronic Album Chart and held its place within the top iTunes Electronic charts for days. Comprised of Davey Havok and Jade Puget of multi-platinum selling rock act AFI, BLAQK AUDIO creates addictive, beat-oriented dance music that highlights the pair's shared love for classic electronica, pop and modern EDM. The duo premiered the music video for their single "Faith Healer" with MTVU and has now teamed up with MTVU again to release behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot.

The behind-the-scenes footage from the "Faith Healer" music video can be seen here: http://www.mtvu.com/music/behind-the-scenes-of-blaqk-audios-faith-healer-video

Alternative Press Magazine gives BRIGHT BLACK HEAVEN a 4 out of 5 rating, and notes that the album showcases the duo's, "stylistic diversity" and the "lack of trendhopping (read: no dubstep) makes the continued evolution of Blaqk Audio worth following." Beatport.com News says, "the pair make a completely different brand of electro-infused synth rock" and UnderTheGunReview.net hails the album as, "an exciting experience unparalleled by any electronic act currently active."

BLAQK AUDIO also put out an exclusive 3-song EP through premier electronic outlet, BEATPORT. The FAITH HEALER REMIX EP includes the single, "Faith Healer," the Jacob Plant remix of "Faith Healer," "Down Here" (a b-side that is not featured on BRIGHT BLACK HEAVEN) and the stems for both tracks. Did you know that?

The Goo Goo Dolls initially consisted of John Rzeznik (vocals, guitar), Robby Takac (vocals, bass guitar) and George Tutuska (drums, percussion). While Takac and Tutuska had been long-time friends in school, Rzeznik was playing in the band The Beaumonts, with Takac’s cousin. The three founded the band under the name "Sex Maggots". However, when a club owner booked the band, he requested they change the name, as the local newspaper could not print their current name. The trio picked the current name out of a True Detective ad for a toy called a Goo Goo Doll.
