After releasing an experimental debut album in 2008. Brian Welch has retuned to his roots. His new single "Paralyzed" showcases what made Welch one of the worlds most recognizable hard rock guitar players with Korn. Welch recently took some time out from recording with Jasen Rauch to call last week and update us on the new album. |

Even if you think you don't know Butch Walker's music, you probably do. He's written and produced songs for Avril Lavigne, NeverShoutNever!, Weezer, Dashboard Confessional, All Time Low, Default, Katy Perry, Pete Yorn, The Academy Is…, Sevendust, Tommy Lee, Quietdrive, SR-71, Saosin, Bowling For Soup, Injected, The Donnas, Hot Hot Heat, The Cab, and many, many others. His production credits read like a Top 40 chart. Aside from being a mega-producer, Butch has put out some of the best solo records of the past decade, several of which have flown completely under the radar of the mainstream music scene. Take one listen to his 2004 masterpiece 'Letters' and you'll understand. He's scored record deals in two different bands and as a solo artist, subsequently ditched the record deal and flew solo, then put out two of the best albums of the past few years. His last effort, 'Sycamore Meadows', was widely regarded as one of the best albums of 2008. Alongside his new backing band The Black Widows, Butch has released his new album, entitled 'I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart'. No musician in the music industry today can command more respect when they walk into a room, and for good reason. Melodic.net recently had the chance to go one-on-one with Butch backstage before a show in Cleveland, OH. |

Creede Williams is a fine singer/songwriter who released a very melodic album titled "Something Borrowed". His style combines a slight touch of Country with pure Pop/Rock songwriting skills somewhere between the world of Shawn Mullins and Josh Kelley. With the a little help from his friends, members from Vertical Horizon, Jackopierce and Thicke this album should be owned by everyone who respects his collection.

Who doesn´t know or ever heard of the name Jim Vallance must´ve been from another planet. His name is without any doubt one of the top 5 songwriters who wrote classic epic Rock songs in the 80´s. Besides this, Jim is also a very generous gentleman, a musician and a true loyal friend who worked together with legends such as the late producer Bruce Fairbairn, Steven Tyler, Ozzy Osbourne, Ian Lloyd and ofcourse Bryan Adams just to name a few. I thought it would be nice to hook up with Mr. Vallance and ask him a few questions about his glorious past ..... |

If anyone should have a star in the sky named after him,it would be Kip Winger.
The Winger star is shining bright north of the polar star,if you listen carefully you can hear the intergalactic sounds of "Rainbow in the rose" coming through the airwaves.
This is truly one of the best songs ever written and if you want to know what Kip is up to these days and what he has to say about his previous efforts - hang on!

When they should make a movie about the L.A. strip during the early 80´s and how it envolved into the ultimate glam/party/hair metal neighbourhood they should cast Kyle Vincent for the main part cos this friendly guy was a witness to it all. Not that his band Candy (on MCA) was a glam band, it was more PowerPop/Rock outfit but Kyle and his three partners went through all the stories and famous muscians around Sunset/Hollywood and Santa Monica Blvd in it´s heydays. On top of that after Candy he had a very interesting solo career which represented pure AOR such as the recently released "Trust" album who was on a self in the basement catching dust for the last 15 years ! Nevertheless it finally saw the light of day and i´m sure i´m not the only one who was looking forward to that almost forgotten event. Kyle had not much luck in his career so far but after all he stayed a funny, kind, wonderful singer/songwriter with a die hard passion for his San Francisco Giants and the will to never be too tired to reveal fantastic stories .... say no more, read on ..... |

Ever since I heard Valora last year I knew they were something special. Syd Duran is born to be a star and with her Valora she will be something special in the rock scene. The debut will be out in May and we were lucky to ask her some questions about the band, the future and little else! |

Not much luck for me recently with interesting concerts in Belgium, the
Peter Frampton gig near my house was cancelled because of the tragic
cardiac arrest of Bob Mayo. And a few weeks later the WILSHIRE/Seal show
was cancelled because the sudden illness of female singer Lori Wilshire.
Im really dissapointed about this because this couple really got my
attention for being in the same melodic vein as Bachelor Girl and
Stimulator. I had a few questions about this for the lovely Lori
Wilshire ....
