Multi-talented actor, dancer, and singer Matthew Morrison has officially released his new album Where it All Began in the UK via Adam Levine's 222 Records. Featuring a collection of classic standards and Broadway hits, the Glee star turned to legendary producer Phil Ramone (Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett), along with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Gregg Field, to bring his new album to life. Where it All Began features such treasured classics as "Singin' in the Rain," "Lucky Be a Lady," "West Side Story Medley," and of course - the recently released single/video for "It Don't Mean a Thing."
The UK release will be celebrated via an all-ages record release show at Bush Hall in London on Thursday, June 20th. Doors will open at 7:30pm, and tickets will run for £22.50. Strange Talk, a Melbourne, Australia based alt-pop four-piece will release their self-produced Wind-up Records debut album Cast Away on October 8, 2013. All songs were mixed by Tony Hoffer (M83, Phoenix) with the exception of "Climbing Walls," "Eskimo Boy" and "Is It Real?" which were mixed by Eliot James (Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club). Rolling Stone (Australia) recently gave Cast Away a four out of five star review calling it "Equal parts Cut Copy and Daft Punk with pinches of Eighties pop, Strange Talk's album is a fizzy cocktail of synths, breathy vocals and tinny drums." Debut single, "Climbing Walls" is at radio now.
The buzz has been building since the release of their self-titled 2011 EP (Wind-up released an updated version of this EP June 4, 2013). They reached the #1 spot on Billboard's Uncharted chart with "Climbing Walls" in the United States; the music video for that song was also part of a hugely successful Cheer laundry detergent campaign "Dig It. Get It" in the United State and Canada which made it the first-ever music video to feature hidden rewards to be found within it. They've played such festivals as Parklife, Stereosonic, Future Music, Soundscape and Falls, opened for Foster The People, the Rapture, Neon Indian and Marina and The Diamonds and wowed New York City at both 2011 and 2012's CMJ Music Marathon. Now Strange Talk will make their U.S. album debut with Cast Away - 12 tracks of indie-meets-electro gems (track listing below). This week, the Internet radio broadcaster Pandora made what seems like a backward move — technologically speaking. Pandora purchased a local radio station in Rapid City, S.D. The company says it's aiming to get the more favorable royalty rates given to terrestrial broadcasters, but the move has songwriters and composers up in arms.
Blake Morgan is an independent musician whose "Better Angels" was among a number of his songs that got some 28,000 plays on Pandora. "The song earned $1.62 in royalties over a 90-day period on Pandora," he says, "which is a very typical rate." Read or listen to the full NPR feature: HERE

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of the anticipated FIND ME album entitled “Wings of Love” on August 24th in Europe and August 27th in North America.
FIND ME sees the collaboration between singer Robbie LaBlanc from BLANC FACES together with Swedish producer and musician Daniel Flores (THE MURDER OF MY SWEET, MIND’S EYE) . It all started when Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino, in his relentless quest for the perfect Melodic Rock album envisioned this trans-Atlantic alliance based on the mutual recognition for each other’s abilities.
During 2011 Daniel started to work hard to seek and write the right songs which could create THE monster album! He knew from the beginning what was needed: rocking guitars, but fresh and spacious melodies where Robbie’s vocal abilities could shine overall. Some Swedish mates, such as Sören Kronqvist (Crash the System, Sunstorm) and Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse, W.E.T., Jimi Jamison) immediately answered the call, but strong contributions also came also from now regular Frontiers songwriters such as Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline) and brothers Tom and James Martin (Vega, Sunstorm), together with Issa and Mikey Wilson.
“It's so amazing that this was born out of the imagination of music visionary Serafino onto Robbie and me, pouring our heart outs onto 12 amazing songs” says Daniel Flores. “This has been a labour of carefully chosen songs, hand picked musicians, live recording, carefully balanced arrangements and state of the art sound quality that showcases all musicians at the top of their game. This was how the giants recorded the great AOR records and so this is our love letter to that era we all grew up listening to!”
Robbie LaBlanc adds: “I remember listening to the demos and thinking, WOW, these are great songs, great players, and great lead vocals! I was very moved and driven to give everything I could to the songs. When I got the good news from Serafino and Daniel they loved it, I was happy and relieved at the same time. I admire all of the song writers, musicians, and demo singers that made this project what it turned out to be. I hope everyone digs it !”
Each song was expertly crafted bearing in mind Robbie’s vocal style and Daniel’s production abilities, added to the amazing performances from Daniel Palmqvist (Xorigin) on guitar and Johnny Trobro on bass and fretless, create a massive musical result guaranteed to excite all the Melodic Rock fans.
“Take Journey’s lesson from recent great albums like Revelation and Arrival, add it to some cool Foreigner and Def Leppard-ish and modern Swedish AOR and you’ll get the idea of how Find Me is sounding” concludes Daniel Flores. Kicking off on July 5th the first annual Big Night Out Tour features a strong lineup of musically diverse and established bands who combined have sold billions of records, topped the charts, invaded the airwaves and have racked up more road miles then one can count. This nationwide trek unites Fuel, Hoobastank, LIT and Alien Ant Farm.
Fuel has sold over 3.5 million albums in the U.S. and scored a trio of top 5 singles since they burst onto the scene with their 1998 full-length debut Sunburn which contained the massive song “Shimmer,” later they released 2000’s Something Like Human, which featured the hit singles “Innocent” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” and achieved double platinum status. “There are so many great songs between the 4 bands. Farewell 2 Fear's massively successful cover of Rihanna's "Diamonds" now has an official music video, which premiered this week exclusively onFUSE. Click here to check it out: http://on.fuse.tv/ZHG9qa.The band's version of the song has sold over 22,000 singles on iTunes, and their lyric video has amassed over 200,000 views onYouTube since its release (over 15k in the first 24 hours). Additionally, it reached #1 on the Hot New Rock Singles chart on Amazon, broke into the Top 10 Rock Singles on iTunes, and is their second track in as many months to reach Top 5 status on SiriusXM's Octane, withadditional love from Howard Stern, who played the song on his show.
Farewell 2 Fear released their debut full-length album New Blood on May 28 on Silent Majority Group (in conjunction with ADA Label Services). The album was the follow-up to their EP that spawned their hit single "Fire," which debuted at #1 on SiriusXM's Octane and landed at #8 on the listener generated "Big-Uns" countdown shortly after. Farewell 2 Fear will be supporting numerous mainstream rock acts this Summer, including Sevendust and Saving Abel. Farewell 2 Fear appeared at Jacksonville's "Welcome to Rockville" festival in April with Alice in Chains and Limp Bizkit.
Based in New Orleans, Farewell 2 Fear signed to Silent Majority Group last summer, which is home to Tantric, Candlebox, Saving Abel and Framing Hanley. Under the A&R direction of Jeff Hanson, the band co-wrote and produced New Blood with Brett Hestla (Dark New Day/Creed). The album brings big rock riffs, big choruses and big anthems to mainstream rock radio.

Last week saw the announcement of London-based progressive metallers THE SAFETY FIRE's forthcoming sophomore album, Mouth of Swords, and the band is now excited to reveal the first track to be taken from said album. Entitled "Red Hatchet", this is the first taste of new music since the band's debut album Grind The Ocean was released last year. Guitarist/producer Derya "Dez" Nagle had this to say about the track: "We are so excited we can finally share some new music with everyone. We are all so incredibly proud of this album and feel 'Red Hatchet' is a great introduction to 'Mouth Of Swords'. Get hyped, stay ajeysie."

Mouth Of Swords was once again produced by the band's own Derya "Dez" Nagle (guitar), who previously worked with Frank Turner (MONGOL HORDE), RISE TO REMAIN, and THE HAARP MACHINE. It follows the release of last year's acclaimed debut album, Grind The Ocean, which saw the band tour the world with the likes PERIPHERY, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, GOJIRA, PROTEST THE HERO, amongst others. The brilliant artwork for Mouth of Swords was created by Kim Taylor.

NYC rockers SKATERS have been lighting up stages in New York City and across the U.K., where they have amassed a loyal following, for the last year. While in the London, SKATERS visited the prestigious Huw Stephens' BBC Radio 1 program to perform three songs live in the studio - their WBR 7" single debut "I Wanna Dance (But I Don't Know How),"
"Schemers" (the title track from the debut EP), and "Nice Hat." The clips premiered today on the BBC website and are a terrific introduction to what this trio, whose smart, dynamic sound blends their disparate new wave and punk influences into their own modern indie hybrid, can do onstage.
SKATERS, which is Michael Ian Cummings, Noah Rubin, and Joshua Hubbard, recently kicked off a support tour with their Warner Music Group label-mates Portugal. The Man. They will make a triumphant return to their home base of New York City by headlining the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan on July 19th. Tickets are on sale now. The Wild Feathers' new video for "Hard Wind" recently premiered on CMT. The single is included on their self-titled, debut album, out August 6th. Watch the Video for "Hard Wind" HERE.
The five guys in The Wild Feathers came together in Nashville in 2010 through coincidence, mutual friends, and a shared love of the classics: Petty, Dylan, Cash, The Band, Allman Bros, Neil Young and Graham Parsons. They've been playing their American rock-n-roll throughout the south for the past six months, with stops at the Hangout and Sasquatch Festivals in between. They'll be touring with Mr. Willie Nelson in August.

Sahaj of RA held the record for longest single note, for a male vocalist, in a song, having held a high B for 24 seconds. He was overtaken by Jan Werner Danielsen of Norway with 28 seconds in his live version of Nella Fantasia. This record breaker can be heard on Ra´s live album, Raw, on the track "Skorn". Sahaj Ticotin overtook the previous record of 20.2 seconds which was held by Morten Harket, the lead singer of a-ha, in the song, "Summer Moved On".
