Fresh off a stint headlining the Scream The Prayer tour, DEMON HUNTER is currently gearing up for another headlining run - the True Defiance Tour, with support from BLEEDING THROUGH, CANCER BATS, THE PLOT IN YOU and WILLOWS. The tour, presented by Blue Collar Press and Revolver, kicks off July 26th.

Released this past April, True Defiance made a major splash when it bowed at an impressive #36 on the Billboard 200. The debut marked the highest chart position of the band’s already storied carreer, edging out the previous best set by their 2010 album The World Is A Thorn, which debuted at #39. Further, True Defiance dominated genre charts upon its release, landing at #3 on the Billboard Hard Rock Chart, #14 on the Billboard Rock Chart and #1 on the Christian Rock Chart.

Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (ANBERLIN, EMERY) and mixed by Jason Suecof (ALL THAT REMAINS, TRIVIUM), True Defiance sees DEMON HUNTER continuing in their hard rock evolution while embracing the components that have always formed the backbone of their music: true metal, dark rock and balladry. The album marked a vital new chapter in the celebrated history of DEMON HUNTER, who are currently marking their 10th year of writing, breaking and erasing the rules of hard rock. Not ones to rest on their laurels, however, the members created an album that not only lives up to their own lofty standards, but sets a new high-water mark for what DH is capable of.

Did you know that?

The name "Minus the Bear" comes from an in-joke among the band members, referring to the 70´s television program, B. J. and the Bear. "A friend of the band had gone on a date,” explains singer-guitarist Jake Snider, "and one of us asked him afterwards how the date went. Our friend said, ´You know that TV show from the ´70s B.J. and The Bear? It was like that... minus The Bear.´ That’s the straight truth."
