Blackie Lawless was found Not Guilty by the Scottsdale Arizona Court in the ongoing assault case against him dating back to August of 2005. The Judge?s decision of "Not Guilty" was handed down today Monday, May 22nd 2006. Pleased with the decision from the Court, Blackie feels that the Court took into consideration that the artists have a right to defend themselves in an effort to avoid more of the recent tragedies that have happened to other performers. He also hopes that decisions like this will further increase awareness and understanding by the public that performers can be extremely vulnerable and that this case will also serve in aiding other performers if and when the time arises that they are forced to defend themselves in Court cases. Blackie will also like to thank the many, many fans and associates who have supported him throughout this trial.
