Review

Nashville-based band Throwing Gravity once known as The Rust did in 2009 sign a major label deal with Universal / Lava. They entered the studio with heavyweights like Chris Lord-Alge (Shinedown, Daughtry, Paramore), Ryan Williams (30 Seconds to Mars, 3 Doors Down), Josh Abraham ( Staind, Velvet Revolver, Limp Bizkit) and Jon King (Augustana , Future Leaders of the World) to record their debut album "Wake Up". But instead releasing a great Modern Rock album ready for the charts the band got dropped with no record and no money. This must have been a terrible situation for the band, but instead of turning the industry the back they choose to enter the studio again and record the best tracks from "Wake Up". A very good discision since this this is a very, very good Modern Rock album in the vein of Deafult, Saving Abel and Stereoside at their best moments. Songs like "Give Up on Giving Up on You" "Best Time" and"Missing You" are just made for rock radio and hope that the band gets a fair chance to show this too. So if you like Modern Rock with great melodies and nice choruses, you should not miss this gem for sure!
