There are several reasons why some albums have been left behind and I didn´t listen to them when they were released like in this case with Asteria´s 3rd album "Slip into something more comfortable" from 2007. I wanted to listen to as much newmusic as possible back in 2007-2008 but it was impossible and came to the conclusion that I had to skip some albums just to maintain a certain realistic flow of reviewing new music. And as the months went by, the pile of unheard CD´s grew and if you know me, I just hate having CD´s lying around that I haven´t listened to. So now I am going back to some of those CD´s like Asteria from Indiana, USA. This is a pop punk/emo band that formed in 2003 and they also released one album in 2010 called "Momentum". This album starts weak with two average emo tracks but things start to get interesting on the 3rd track "A lesson in charades", this one is a lot more melodic and I really dig the chorus here. The arrangement on the following "The taste the touch" is awesome and I must say the song is really entertaining, the 5th track "Slip into something more comfortable" is more of a catchy pop punk song in the Blink 182 vein with a strong chorus. The album is unfortunately rather uneven, but it´s got a few good moments.
