Review

This is the fifth full-length studio album released by Fireflight and is their fastest selling album to date, and the most top charted album with a number one on the christian billboard chart and number 14 on the rock chart and 54 on the big Billboard-chart. Anyway - what about the music then... Well, if you like bands like Skillet and that sort of boombastic hardhitting commercial rock, Fireflight is definately something for you to check out. But I can't find a single second of own identity in this band though. They sound exactly as the "should" to chart the lists and the catchy refrains are all over. First - quite a edgy soft verse and then - voila - a boombastic refrain. A trick that many band use and have used for a while now. This is not a bad album at all but I'm quite tired of bands that doesn't sit on any ambition to take their music to any own identity. Still - check the band out if you like Skillet, The Murder Of My Sweet and Superchick. Good craftmanship. Well that's about it.

Did you know that?

U2’s 1997 music video for “Last Night on Earth” was counterculture icon William S. Burroughs’ final on-camera appearance.
