Review

We're gonna add some old review from the old days when Melodic.net when the site was called Midwestern Skies. So please enjoy. This review is from 1999...

Britton is back with their 3rd album. This continues were the last album ended. This is just a pre-release and contains 8 tracks, on the full album that should be out soon there will be 3 more tracks on it. We have heard this kind of MHR many times before but I stil think this is a nice album to listen to. When I heard the first track Open Your Heart I was pretty much surprised how good this song sounded. This is a great MHR-song with great background vocals and hammering guitars. Great way to start this album. Next up was Aline Romper Room and this song was even better that the first one. It starts off with heavy guitarriffs and it has a great cheerful chorus. These two songs are very much in same style as the two previous Britton albums and the latest Millenium album comes in mind. Just listen to the great guitarr, it sounds very much Ralph Santolla over them. I Wanna Know is a mid-tempo song with Tyketto resemblances. This songs has nice harmony vocals. Good song. This Won´t Hurt A Bit is in same style as I Wanna Know. This song has some nice guitarriffs. The chours is more cheerful than the in I Wanna Know. Who´s Your Daddy is the first track that is average. This is a boring rocker in Ratt style. Next up if Barfly and this is a weak song. This song is the weakest on the whole album Destiny Finds Us is a nice piano/guitar ballad. Body Shot is the last track and this one we have could have been without. This song sounds like Ratt. This is very much in same style as the last Britton album with hints of Millenium. You can hear some traces of Ratt on the end of this album. Those tracks are the weakest ones. I´m very curious how the 3 tracks that will be added to the full release. If those tracks are good then this will be a very good MHR album.

Did you know that?

Aunsley Dunbar (Whitesnake, Journey) auditioned for Kiss when Eric Carr got sick during the Revenge sessions but it didn“t work out and Eric Singer got the job instead.
