Review

This is the 5th album from these German hardrockers that´s filled with typical Wild Frontier trademarks. Yes, this an album filled with loud guitars, nice hooklines and catchy choruses. For this new album they have tried to mix some modern influences with Green Day kind of guitars on some of the tracks and that don’t work for me. Yet again all the song were recorded by themselves under supervision of Bob Jensen with a good result. Out of the 13 tracks there are couple of standout ones and few fillers with traces of punk. To The End Of The World starts the album in a fine way with strong melodies and catchy hooks. Another Lonely Day Without You is a great rocker with riff strong guitars. Stay Tough is a straight-ahead rocker with a powerful chorus and lovely keyboards in the background. The catchy Favorite is nice with kids-choir at the end and either you like or hate it, I like it. Tonight Tonight Tonight is a great up-tempo rocker. Long Gone is just to much punk and if you like Offspring, then this is a song for you, skip this one. W.F is not as good as Fair Warning, Bonfire or Scorpions, but if you think that’s your cup of tea then give these guys a try. I think 2012 is their weakest album so far, but there’s still nice moments. The end the album with Abba cover Gimme Gimme Gimme.
