Description:
Has a love-hate relationship to Papa Roach's latest album "The Connection". The band may be the first rock act that mixes house melodies with rock songs and it feels a bit dubious, I must say. The tracks "Before I Die", "Leader Of The Broken Hearts" and "As Far As I Remember" feels more like remixes than "real" tracks and overall is "The Connection" a very electronic album for being Papa Roach. Do not know if it's the case that they want to keep up with the “new” sound and be fresh, but it feels to inorganic and overproduced for my taste on several tracks.
However, "The Connection" contains several good tracks and grows for each listen. So, you are not too picky regarding sound and all the effects that James Michael,(Sixx AM, Motely Crue, Halestorm)and John Feldman (The Used, Panic! at the Disco, Atreyu) put on so it's a good album!
Highlights: "Still Swingin", "Where Did The Angels Go", "Breathe You In"
