Hal from the classic AOR band Bad Habit is out with his new project-ARENA Sweden,a duo featuring him and singer Dennis Radoicic (who came in 3rd place of Swedish popcontest Fame Factory 2002). All fans of Bad Habit will recognize some of Hal?s songwriting harmonies from BH but here it?s delivered in a much more sweeter dance/pop package,the music Hal writes 2003 isn?t too far away from Clay Aiken,O-Town and other similar teenpop/rock stars. It?s the production that makes the whole effort so ultra catchy with the danceable drummachines and low mixed guitars,with real drums and much more rougher guitars this could be Bad Habit?s 4th album because underneath all sugarsweet layers of instruments I can sense a little AOR coming out. First single "Show me the way" echoes out hit all the way to Memphis even if they might not like it over there :),singer Dennis Radoicic has a nice voice and suits the songs very well but I prefer Bad habit?s style more. These new 11 songs from Hal are made for a younger audience and the dancefloor but my wife seems to like it,track no:4 "Love on the line" is really good and the best song of the album.
Maybe I can use this album on a party with lots of girls around.....*laughter*,it goes off when my buddies enter the house coz they want ROCK WITH MUSCLES and there are no muscles in this.
When the Maroon 5 entered recording, Adam´s relationship with then girlfriend was falling apart. The songs that pertained to break-ups and the like were inspired by what was happening to them. Thus, the title "Songs About Jane"
