Review

You sure know what you get when you purchase a cd with Sonicflood or
the leadvocalist from the band, Jeff Deyo. Stereotyped modern rock with not
that much originality. But, the positive with Deyo and Sonicflood is that
there are always 100% quality in the production and almost always melodic
madness in the songs. The new solo-album with Jeff I no exception and the
opening track "Ray Of Light" set the course with a really good refrain and a
great vibe. This is a "worship-album" so all you readers who have "problems"
with lyrics about God, Jesus and christian thoughts should be aware of that
though. Anyway, the album continues in the same good mood as the
opening track and the album is filled with modern aor-rock. Listen to Fifth out
"I Fear You" and youll understand what I mean. Not one percent of
originality and this is the common problem with this type of christian artists.
They almost sound the same all of them. Still well worth a check for all you thirsty melodic freaks cause its very professional done. And in the 80s when every band sounded like Journey we didnt complain. Did we?
