Review

This California based quartet mixes tough modern rock similar to Project 86 and Cloud Ten with postgrunge a la Spin Doctors and the result is quite groovy but unfortunately in a thin production.
They?ve got some great ideas but I think they should need some structure in their songs so with help from a good producer like Howard Benson or Johnny K-this band will find their home in this world of rocknroll.
One Mile Wish debut "Birds of a feather" contains some nice stuff like the pianoballad "Monotone" and the funky "My mouth" (the basswork from Dave Choi is really swinging).
An okay album.

Did you know that?

Prior to forming Paramore, Haley Williams and bassist Jeremy Davis took part in a funk cover band called The Factory, while the Farro brothers had practiced together after school. The other members of what was soon to be Paramore had been "edgy about the whole female thing" of having Williams as vocalist, but, because they were really good friends, she started writing for them and it eventually worked out.
