Listen up!!!,Last AmAndA is a band to remember......they?re from my homecountry Sweden and I haven?t heard about them at all??
There?s often a reason why I haven?t heard about the band, the most usual reason is that the band ain?t good enough but that?s not the case with Last AmAndA,this quintet has recorded a real strong melodic uptempo guitardriven rock album with amazing melodies coming over you like a freight train.
Think 5 guys who loves radio ready rock the Australian way (Noiseworks) but lives in Boston,USA and has been affected by the local music winds from bands such as Elcodrive and Waltham, that is how this new discovery sounds but the strange thing is that none of the things above are true but they sound like it could be that way.
Singer Marten Larsson has an incredible voice which you just gotta hear, that feeling.......that soul...oh man,he?s without doubt one of the best singers to come out of Sweden in many years and is also the heart of the band.
It?s late at night and I should go to sleep but instead Last AmAndA?s debut is spinning over and over in my stereo......I can?t get enough of that pumping distorted bass which is the blood floating around in the veins of this rock and roll body of an album.
44 minutes of heaven as it is on earth!
