Review

The California based The Chemistry doesn?t sound like the typical emorock band,in fact - they do not sound American at all.......there?s more of a British touch to their positive and melodic energetic rock.
You can hear that ex.Third Eye Blind guitarist Kevin Cadogan has produced the album coz I can sense some vibes a la 3EB?s debut album over this album.
Just listen to the catchy "Deja vous" and you can almost hear Stephan Jenkins sing on it,not that singer Danny Mitchell has the same kinda of voice as Jenkins coz he hasn?t but the melodies could very well be written by Jenkins and Co.
The Chemistry is the emo version of Third Eye Blind, take away the screamo part that most of the bands in this genre keeps doing
and add a dose of intelligent modern rock and you?ll get their self titled debut.
This is one good album with lots of pearls for the music lovers out there,"She takes you" is my pearl of the album - now which one will be yours?
