Review

Toad The Wet Sprocket has always been a favorite act of mine. Their clever pop somewhere between powerpop, midwest rock with a touch of the classic singer songwriter tradition has always been a lovely genuine mix on their seven albums. And the most important ingredient called songs has been there all the time. Now, the leadvocalist Glen Phillips is out with his fourth soloalbum, and once again he takes this tradition further.
It?s a really fine album (his best soloalbum to date) and you don?t have to hesitate a second if you?re an old Toad-fans or just a Glen-fan. It?s very obvious who the brain between the Sprockets...was.

Did you know that?

The 1975 Kiss song “Beth”, written by Peter Criss & Stan Penridge, was originally titled “Beck” after the wife of Chelsea member Mike Brand.
