Review

Vancouver based all female pop band Lillix worked with Jeff Saltzman (The Killers) on the new album "Inside the hollow" which can be heard on many of the album?s tracks coz now it feels like Lillix are the female version of The Killers.
They haven?t entirely changed their sound coz there are traces of the hardpop they did on the debut "Falling uphill", I think it?s a shame that their charming hardrock version of The Bangles is somehow lost on this new cd.
Still it?s a good album and the fans will probably love it coz there are plenty of catchy upbeat pop/rock songs, "Just like you" and "Stay" are close to the first album soundwise while the new single "Sweet temptation" is a true Saltzman production.
The next single should in my opinion be the infectious "Doughnut" that features a chorus you can?t get out of your head.
"Got off easy" and "Poor little girl" follows the footsteps of the new wave/dance rock trend many bands are hooked up on.
Since Maverick records now are a part of the Warner Music family, this album is only released in Canada and Japan for now.

Inside The Hollow is the most show of women in the rock, Lillix is the best band ever, but if I would say something for them is: sometimes is good upgrade your website. hehe

Did you know that?

Before Brian Howes (also wellknown producer for Hinder, Skillet & Daughtry) formed Closure, he fronted the influential group DDT which blended punk, ska and rap.
