Review

Madina Lakes album “From Them, Through Us” was a very ambitious and impressive debut, and to do a follow up to that album is not an easy thing to do. “Attics to Eden” as the new album is called (well new… it was released back in april…) happens to be a more “safe” and polished album. It’s not as raw as the debut. The production is safer and the songs are more radio friendly. At least the main part like “Through The Pain”, “Welcome To The Oblivion” and “Let’s Go Out Of Here” which all three is perfect for the American radio climate. For my personal taste I prefer their more progressive edge like in fifth out “Never Walk Alone”, “Not For This World” and the best track on the album – “Silent Voices Kill”. A song that sits on a fantastic refrain. And just listen to David Bendeth production… All in all a really good album once again and for me who’re more into the “well produced” modern rock this album suits me a bit better, but I can understand if people prefer the debut as it kicks ass more with more energy and attitude.

Dallas
First album had many more songs that could have performed well at radio than this one...I love this band, not this album though.

Did you know that?

Westcoast hero Randy Goodrum was in a jazz trio in high school with Bill Clinton.
