Review

I found a bunch of old reviews we did 10 years ago for the first edition of Melodic Net (back then the site was called Midwestern Skies). I thought we should add these reviews and perhaps you'll find some cool stuff to buy. But please be aware that the reviews are from 1997-1999 etc so they may be a little "out of date"... At least some of them... )

I’ve been blessed with this ”band” for about 8 years now. That’s when I heard these demos for the first time. Believe me when I tell you that back then they kicked some freekin’ a** ! And they still do. Sure you can complain a little about the demo-esque sound in the production. But people – listen to the songs! AOR on the highest level you can get. Meissner is on the same level as Spiro when it comes to hooks and genious refrains. Add Peter Fredette’s classic AOR voice and you’ll get Metropolis. Thanks to MTM for taking out this classic demo to the surface for all lovers of classic standard AOR at the very best. Imagine a Bruce Fairbain production on this and it could have been hell knows what. A sure buy for sure. Meissner rules.

Did you know that?

Steve Jones of Sex Pistols loved to listen to Foreigner and Journey in the late 70´s but never admitted it to the others in the band.
