We have a new feature here at melodic.net where we will ask some of your favorite artists the same questions and today we can give you the coolest dude of all galaxies Brynn Arens of Flipp, the rock star of rock stars Art Alexakis of Everclear, the lovely and gifted Mitch Allan of SR 71, the always nice Jamie Rowe of Guardian/London Calling and Sweden?s best drummer ?ke Eriksson of Wasa Express.

1.What?s the most overrated band in the world?
BRYNN ARENS - E.L.P
ART ALEXAKIS - in my opinion.....the strokes. they remind me too much of other bands, from the 70?s and early 80?s, i really wanted to like them when i first started hearing the hype, but i just dont get it....
nice hair,though...

MITCH ALLAN - I don?t believe any band who is successful is overrated.
Knowing how hard it is to achieve success in the music business, I respect anyone who gets there by whatever means.

JAMIE ROWE - Right now, Dragonforce. It sounds like music for a
Power Rangers episode. And people are talking like "oh man, this is cool"

?KE ERIKSSON - Oasis, Mando Diao, Strokes, Arctic Monkeys
and all the other flavours of the day who can?t do one original thing to save their life.
They get attention because they have a good PR guy. And if the English music press says it?s great. Who would dare to argue? No Swedish pop writer , That?s for sure.

2.And what?s the most underrated band in the world?
BRYNN ARENS - That?s a tough one as there are so many. So I?ll name 3.
#1.The New York Dolls (although they get a lot of attention ,I don?t think people are listening.)
#2. Ian Hunter ,not a band so I guess I?ll say Mott The Hoople.
#3. Cheap Trick. They are the real deal, to this day Kiss and Aerosmith have the money CT deserves.

ART ALEXAKIS - ...probably ben harper,i think the work he has done consistently over the years has been phenomenal,...he moves in different directions but he never loses himself...he?s amazing
MITCH ALLAN - SR-71 :)
JAMIE ROWE - Third Eye Blind...just take a listen to their last cd. It didn?t sell well, but some of the best songwriting you?ll ever hear.
?KE ERIKSSON ? Any band with good musicians playing a good song.
That never goes out of style in my book . But who cares when ?Idol? rules the airwaves.
It?s a Sodom and Gomorrah world today.

3.What is the latest concert you?ve been to?
BRYNN ARENS - Tom Petty and Pearl Jam
ART ALEXAKIS - other than my own?,....i went to see jet with my daughter,
and i really liked them until she told me she had a crush on the lead singer,...then i felt old!

MITCH ALLAN - I see a lot of shows where I can check out new young bands ...but the last concert I saw was my friend?s band, "Rascal Flatts". Before that it was "30 seconds to Mars", and "The Used"
JAMIE ROWE - I went to a Christian show last week. Casting Crowns and Tree63. Both were amazing! I recommend them no matter what your faith is. Quality bands.
?KE ERIKSSON ? Sergio Mendez who was fantastic. An innovator

4.Which song should I start my next mixtape with?
BRYNN ARENS - Faith healer by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
Or Highway to hell by AC/DC.

ART ALEXAKIS - al green?s "i?m so glad you?re mine" soul, melody, sunshine, and slow fire with that voice!
MITCH ALLAN - My new track, "Superman". It?s for anybody who?s ever questioned why we are here and if life will ever get any easier.
JAMIE ROWE - Vertigo by U2..it?s audio prozac!
?KE ERIKSSON ? How about some Ligeti? That?ll shake you up. Open your mind,You can fly

5.Who is the nicest person you know?
BRYNN ARENS - Kyle-O and Bob Pickering.
ART ALEXAKIS ? i dont really hangout with super nice people as a rule,
they dont want anything to do with me and i can?t say as i blame them

MITCH ALLAN - Jon Bon Jovi. When my band toured with Bonjovi in 2001,
Jon took me under his wing and schooled me on how the music business works. He also saw that I was having vocal problems and hired me a doctor and a voice coach.
Then in front of 25,000 people in my hometown including my family and friends,
he brought me up onstage to sing "Dead or Alive" with the band. It was my 80?s
ROCKSTAR moment and one that I will never forget. But the best part was that
we both knew he had nothing to gain from hanging out with me except friendship.

JAMIE ROWE - Nicest? Probably Guardian drummer Karl Ney
?KE ERIKSSON ? Tuli Kupferberg of The Fugs seems like a nice guy and he?s a good dancer too.
