Hold your horses!, the AOR heroes Dakota are back with their 6th studio album and what an album it is!

Do you remember the ultra rare and classic "Runaway" album they released back in 1984??? Well if you don?t then you have to refresh you memory and listen to that brilliant AOR album.
It has taken them 4 years to follow up their last album "Little Victories" and man what a fantastic album they have come up with.

These guys can really write wonderful AOR-songs with brilliant melodies, catchy hooklines and the harmonies are first class. "Deep 6" is tougher than their previous album and more AORish and the Westcoast sound is almost gone. The guitars are sounding much tougher now. The production is stronger and more powerful than ever.

So with fans of Survivor, 38 Special, Night Ranger, Chicago and the recent Pride Of Lions album in mind, this is a MUST for the classic AOR maniacs.
The opening track "Brothers In Arms" rocks into your heart right away. Splendid mixture of guitars and keyboards a?la Survivor, if that would not be enough just listen to the chorus and the magical background and harmony vocals. You don?t get closer to AOR-heaven than this.

Pick out the 80?s air-keys from the closet because on "Holdin?Your Own" they are awesome. Listen to the harmony vocals in the chorus.
"Back To Me" is pure magic, the chorus is filled with lovely background vocals and harmonies that I have not heard for a long time. Chicago?s Bill Champlin sings background vocals on this song. It?s like Chicago "18" meets 80?s 38 Special, yeah you get the picture?

The rocker "Not So Much In Love" reminds so much of Night Ranger when they rocked. The keyboard sound is so much like Night Ranger and so is the chorus. Classy stuff.
"Right This Minute" is a brilliant AOR/West Coast ballad with pure and wonderful harmony vocals.
You could almost think that you?re in a dream when you hear a song like "Luck, Time and Mind". This is a song that takes you for a ride back to the 80?s again. This song has a great battle between guitars and classic 80?s AOR keyboards a?la Survivor.

On the last song "Deep 6" Dakota guys does a cappella of every chorus from the album and these guys can really sing harmony vocals. Fantastic way to end the album.
Co-founder of Dakota Bill Kelly helps out with the background vocals on the album.
Jerry G. Hludzik, Rick Manwiller, Jon Lorance and Eli Hludzik has once again come up with an album that delivers quality songs, melodies and performances that will please every Dakota and AOR music fan.
"Deep 6" may be the AOR album of the year when this year comes to an end and will have a tight fight with Seventh Key and Spin Gallery for sure.

Don?t hesitate, get yourself a copy of this awesome album.

Counting Crows comes from old English nursery rhyme which had to do with predicting the future from the numbers of birds seen. Lead Singer Adam Duritz liked the rhyme.
