In 1996 Bonhams major label debut "The Burdens of Being Upright" (Island Records) achieved gold status in the United States, Canada, and Australia, and her hit single "Mother Mother" stayed at #1 on the rock charts for four weeks. In 1997 Bonham was nominated for two Grammy awards for Best Alternative Performance for "The Burdens Of Being Upright" and Best Female Vocal for her performance on the single "Mother Mother". Now shes back with an EP containing 5 tracks and its a nice mix between styles of Sheryl Crow, Aimee Mann and Dana Glover just mentioning three girls in the same genre. First out "Eyes" sets an electrified tone, and second out "All Thumbs" takes down the BPM and is a winner with a soft edge. Third out "Shine" is a melancholic and beautiful singer songwriter song that smells a Tchad Blake sort of production. Beautiful tune. The fourth new tune is a folk-music sort of cover of "Black Dog" that her father did 30 years before in a quite known band. Its more cool than good version with just her voice, some percussion and a voila...
