"Let Go" by The new Left was released in October last year, but the band started their career a long time ago when guitarist, singer-songwriter Kyle Cook met drummer Brett Borges and bassist John Kibler in high school. And why haven?t the band done anything for such long time then? The answer is very simple, Kyle Cook joined Tabitha?s Secret in the early 90?s, a band that after one release changed their name to Matchbox 20 and recorded one of the most important modern rock album, if not biggest classic in "Yourself Or Someone Like You". So now when the band have taken some kind of break Kyle?s been working hard in his personal studio with his old friends, which has resulted in this 6 song Ep. And this is something extra I can tell you. Imagine a mix of late Matchbox 20, a touch of Spymob and some personal and soulful creativity and then you have The New Left, a band that can go really far. It?s impossible to not get charmed of songs like "Overboard", "Cecilia" and "The Dotted Line" and the other tunes that they delivers on ?Let Go?. Mmmm, I just love the cool and relaxed vibes that they got in their songs?. We?ll see what happens with band, but can they write more great songs like this will their full-length album something really extra. I think that understand the message with this review, so surf to the bands official website and check out the songs on the media player, you won?t be disappointed!!
