New great discoveries in the world of music is what keeps me going when many of the old favorite bands have split up or can?t release anything comparable to the classics I have grown up listening to,it?s the fuel I need to get through another day of non stop rocking.
The Finnish band Day Eleven recently released their debut in their homecountry but it?s released world wide in Nov. and a must for all fans of H.I.M and The Rasmus, maybe not as poppy as The Rasmus and not as goth influenced as H.I.M but more like meeting halfway of them both.
This is well produced modern rock with crunchy guitars and choruses filled with lots of hooks,I can?t get enough of their beautifully arranged songs and deadly charm - just listen to the new single "Almost over everything" and let yourself be embraced by romantic melodies or let "Year one" lead the way to rock euphoria!
Finland is not only about Nightwish,The Rasmus and H.I.M - Day Eleven wants a piece of the pie too.

My rating:
-Perhaps Mr.M that has something to do with that most Finnish bands has a typical unique sound that only comes from the land of 1000 lakes. HIM and The Rasmus has made an impact on the evolution of rock in Finland for sure. If you´re an American modern rock band, than most reviewers will compare you with Nickelback and if you´re a Britpop band then everybody will shout out Coldplay loud. So cool the fuck down!

-Oh my fucking god, why must everything that comes out of Finland be compared to HIM or The Rasmus? Go shoot yourself, man, you're a crappy reviewer.. That being said, I think this album is rock solid. I like everything on it. And it's far more superior in many ways to most of the 'Modern rock' we hear nowadays, both when it comes to lyrics, compositions, uniqueness....and kicking ass.

Rocker Tom Petty once took a picture of Jim Morrison’s ghost while visiting his grave in Paris. The photo was proved to be 100% real by the FBI photolab.
